About Freedom House
Who We are
- The majority of people in Freedom House will be coming from prisons and rehab facilities. They are in need of a safe place to live to stay sober and to become a productive member of society. The requirements of Freedom House will provide them with the life-skills they need to move forward with a clean and sober life while expecting them to pursue a relationship with the One who came that they “may have life, and have it in abundance” (John 10:10).
Our History
Purchased house at 185 Shady Lane - 2017
The owner, Sherylnn Erickson and First National Bank have been beyond helpful to get our monthly payment "affordable" for a new ministry. It is older and has been sitting empty for several years and is in need of a lot of renovation.
Remodel Hope Wing - Opened October 16, 2018
Remodel of the "Hope Wing" into 2 apartments units for women transitioning out of the residential side of Freedom House
Our Statement of Faith
- We believe the Bible to be the only inspired, infallible, authoritative, Word of God.
- We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons:
Father, Son and Holy Spirit. - We believe in: The Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His atoning death through His shed blood on the cross, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory.
- We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, a confession of faith and repentance of sin is absolutely essential.
- We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
